Why a read-only connection
Most investing apps either ignore your real portfolio or blur the line between research and execution. AI Investing takes a narrower path: help you understand what you hold, without touching your account.
A read-only broker link lets Pro subscribers see positions imported from their brokerage inside the same app where they already get AI market context, watchlists and a daily outlook. The connection is one-way — data in for viewing, never orders out.
What you get
Your actual holdings visible next to AI analysis and market context.
What you do not get
Trade buttons, order routing, or any ability to move money through AI Investing.
How connected portfolio works
From Portfolio in AI Investing Pro, you can start a secure broker link flow. After you authorize read-only access, holdings sync into the app so analysis and context reflect what you actually own — not a manually typed list that may be out of date.
The workflow stays informational. AI Investing structures market data and news around your positions; it does not tell you what to buy or sell. You remain responsible for every investment decision.
Free manual portfolio vs Pro linked portfolio
On the free plan, you can still build and track a portfolio manually — useful if you prefer not to link an account or only follow a subset of holdings.
Pro adds the optional read-only link when you want holdings to stay current without re-entering positions. Both paths are for analysis and understanding; neither turns AI Investing into a trading platform.
What a read-only connection is not
It is not trade execution. AI Investing does not place orders, rebalance on your behalf, or route instructions to your broker.
It is not personalized financial advice. Holdings visibility helps you ask better questions of the market; it does not replace your own research or professional advice where you need it.
It is not a signal service. Seeing your portfolio inside the app does not mean the AI is recommending specific actions — treat all output as context.
FAQ

It means AI Investing can view your brokerage holdings to display them in the app. The connection does not allow AI Investing to place trades, withdraw funds, or change anything in your account.
Does AI Investing Pro execute trades through the connection?
No. The broker link is read-only. AI Investing never executes trades or transactions on your behalf, whether or not a connection is linked.
Can I use AI Investing without linking a broker?
Yes. The free plan supports manual portfolio tracking, and Pro subscribers can choose not to link an account. Linking is optional and only for viewing holdings inside the app.
Is connected portfolio available on the free plan?
